Cabinet to consider new growth plan by mid-year

2 March 2010, Polity.org.za - Government's economic sectors and employment cluster, which has been mandated to grow the economy and create jobs, is in the process of developing a ‘Growth Plan' for consideration during the mid-year Cabinet Lekgotla.
Speaking at a media briefing in Cape Town on Tuesday, Science and Technology Minister Naledi Pandor said that the cluster had highlighted eight areas that would feature in the growth plan, which would aim to facilitate a new growth path for the South African economy.

24 February 2010 – Just a reminder that the Cape Town Entrepreneurship Competition 2010 is now open and accepting applications. The aim of the competition is to expand entrepreneurship in Cape Town. The competition forms part of the City of Cape Town’s strategy to position Cape Town as a leading enabler of entrepreneurship on the African continent and to build a stronger entrepreneurship ecosystem.
